Hannah’s Snow Day: January 20, 2009 (Photos)

Hannah was about four-years-old when she came to live with us.  She was born and raised in North Georgia, so I’m sure she’d seen plenty of snow before we moved to Asheville.  But having lived in Columbia for over a year, she hadn’t seen it for a while.  I took these pictures at a house on Washington Avenue that we rented when we first moved to Asheville.  I think I found the natural habitat of a liver-spotted dalmation:  light snow in an unraked yard.

Riverbanks Zoo: October 15, 2006 (Photos)

October in Columbia, SC is still pretty warm. In fact, if it weren’t so muggy, some of these animals may have believed they were in their home climate. These photos were taken after Liz and I had been dating for a little over a year. My future wife, my future mother-in-law, myself, and a bunch of other monkeys hanging out in Columbia.
